Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga surprised me with how much writing it packs in. The turn-based battles are solid, but it's the companions and their bickering that kept me tapping through late nights. Each character has a distinct role, and swapping party members changes how fights feel entirely.

Combat rewards patience. Rushing gets you punished by status effects, so you learn to read enemy patterns. The difficulty curve is fair, and there's an easier mode for when you just want the story.

On phone it runs beautifully, with quick loads and battles you can pause mid-turn. This is the RPG I hand to people who claim mobile can't do proper role-playing.
